  • The state-run Seventh AP Fund, where around six million Swedes have pension savings, has invested billions in major fossil fuel companies.

  • Several of these companies are blacklisted by major banks for poor environmental standards, including Petrobras, which recently got the green light to drill for oil in the Amazon.

  • The fund says investing allows them to influence companies from within, rather than excluding them.
