Swedish Foreign Minister: Russian letter not something you answer in five minutes
Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov has sent letters to member states of the OSCE, including to his Swedish counterpart Ann Linde, expressing Russian concern over what he called "increasing political-military tension in the immediate vicinity of its Western borders".
Reactions to the letter in Sweden have been strong, the opposition Moderate party's deputy chair of the Swedish parliament's foreign affairs committee, Hans Wallmark, called the letter "blackmail" and said that it "might as well have been signed by Don Corleone".
Sweden and Finland's foreign and defence ministers met for talks in Stockholm Wednesday, the letters were among the issues discussed, with Sweden's Ann Linde saying: "Russia presents views about the European Security Order that differ from ours".
