  • A patient who had both hands amputated after a severe infection has received new ones from a dead donor after a long and complex transplant operation at Stockholm's Söder hospital.

  • Three months later, the patient can pick up a pen and eat with cutlery.

  • "It took two and a half years to find the right donor," hand surgeon Tobias Laurell tells Radio Sweden.
