FOOD SECURITY

Exercise to strengthen Nordic cooperation on food preparedness

Publicerad 10 okt 2024 · kl 06:44 · 1:42 min
  • During a crisis or war, Sweden may need help from its neighbours in order to ensure food supplies.

  • This week, around 50 people from the Nordic countries, the Faroe Islands and the Åland Islands took part in a workshop on food preparedness.

  • Sweden might for example need to make use of Norwegian ports to transport food up north in a crisis, says Johan Loberg at the Swedish Board of Agriculture.

Correction: In an earlier version of this story, we'd said Johan Loberg works at the Swedish Food Agency. This is incorrect, he works for the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
