FOOD SECURITY
Exercise to strengthen Nordic cooperation on food preparedness
Publicerad 10 okt 2024 · kl 06:44 · 1:42 min
During a crisis or war, Sweden may need help from its neighbours in order to ensure food supplies.
This week, around 50 people from the Nordic countries, the Faroe Islands and the Åland Islands took part in a workshop on food preparedness.
Sweden might for example need to make use of Norwegian ports to transport food up north in a crisis, says Johan Loberg at the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
Correction: In an earlier version of this story, we'd said Johan Loberg works at the Swedish Food Agency. This is incorrect, he works for the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
