Hotline for abused women marks five years

Publicerad 4 dec 2012 · kl 10:51

Tuesday is the fifth anniversary of the opening of Kvinnofridslinjen, the national hotline to help women facing violence and threats.

In a press release the hotline says during that time it has received more than 100,000 calls. On average, the nurses, midwives and counsellors involved answer between 60 and 70 calls a day.

The calls are free, don’t show up on telephone bills, and callers can remain anonymous.
