15-year-old prosecuted for hitting his mother

A 15-year-old boy in Malmö has been prosecuted for repeatedly hitting, kicking and threatening his mother with a knife, the newspaper Skånska Dagbladet reports.

He is, among others, suspected of serious assault, of breeching the weapons law and of fraudulent conduct. According to the prosecution he has since May last year made a habit out of threatening and scaring his mother. He has brandished several knives in front of her face and has threatened to kill her.

The boy admits to several of the incidents, but he gives a more toned down version of events. When the mother says he has hit her with his fist in the head, he says he only hit her with an open hand on her arm. He also says he use to scare her, but that both the abuse and the threats are for a laugh.
